múm & kylie minogue collaborating with lesbian werewolfs...
...well, nearly. In fact Múm and Kylie Minogue have recorded a contribution for a rated R teenie-indie-lesbian-werewolf-flick called 'Jack & Diane'. It's shot by Bradley Rust Gray, so you can be sure not to get a cheap B-nasty, even though Kylie Minogue appears as 'heavy tatooed lesbian' in the film. On the other hand, Jack Nicholson and Diane Keaton do not appear. Jack & Diane will (hopefully) hit the cinemas later this year.

seasonal greetings from múm!
While on travels through Iceland in 1772, the Bishop of Uppsala wrote in a letter: "...the Icelanders sing terrible and totally out of time." 239 years later the best 'musical' christmas gifts come from iceland. For example this 7inch, on which Múm sing two traditional Icelandic christmas songs. Now exclusively available via our webshop (official release: 02.12.!)!

a book from sindri and örvar!
Sindri from Sin Fang and Seabear and Örvar from Múm are the Apfelsin Bros. & they made a book full of drawings. There is a certain crudeness to their aesthetic unravellings, one could liken it to pancreas surgery performed with a spoon. And however colorful, lighthearted and festive their drawings, music or jokes are, there is always a certain self-reflexivity to what they spew. And to chart and map the reoccurring themes of the book, they have included a song. In two parts. It's a jolly romper.
Their picture book contains 80 pages of drawings and it's covered in orange linen weave. Included is a 5'' vinyl with a digital download code of the collaborative song. It is limited to 1000 copies. You can get it in selected book & record stores, but right now it's only available via our webshop anost.net!

upcoming backyard screenings
The music documentary 'Backyard' by Árni Sveinsson resumes a spontaneous bloc party in Reykjavík. Artists like FM Belfast, Sin Fang, Múm, Hjaltalín & Borko were playing in a backyard. The film (trailer is here) will now be screened on various festivals (see below) – and in the near future, Morr Music will release this one on DVD!
